Who lives here?

Charlotte & Tim Fitzpatrick, their prized pooch Jasper, and soon Baby Fitz as Charlotte and Tim are expecting their first child soon.

What do you love most about your new home?

"It's stylish and unique when you look at the other houses on the street. We love the weatherboard look - it's fits well with our theme. We know the style of our house will be timeless. Also, it's so warm and cosy! We don't really experience winter anymore."

What is surprising about this home?

"How important it is to put down good quality flooring. We didn't spare any expense on our floor coverings and it's one of the things we are complimented on the most. We have beautiful floor boards, super plushy carpet and beautiful bathroom tiles. A good finish is important!

Our separate laundry is also brilliant. We are so glad we added this to our plan. It's a really functional space. We love our kitchen too - having two ovens is great for entertaining!"

Colour Themes

"We mainly stuck with neutral tones, with the exception of our master bedroom. Blue is a very peaceful colour for us, so we wallpapered our feature wall adding a blue, floral pattern, and also added blue curtains. We have also added the blue theme in other parts of the house e.g the entrance way (creating a welcoming, calming feeling as soon as you enter our home), and wallpapering the lounge blue which is our main space to wind down in the evening."

Getting ready to welcome baby Fitzpatrick

"Being parents is the next chapter in our lives. With that comes a lot of unknown, but that's what's exciting. It'll be life changing!

Our nursery is a Work in Progress. We're waiting for our girl to arrive to find out what her personality is like before we go nuts decorating. However, we are pleased that we chose white and neutral colours - that's what we like. It means we can add colourful accessories later on.

We were quite particular about our floor plan in that we wanted a spacious, open plan, social house - we are social people. This will also suit our growing family's needs. Our large, open plan kitchen, family room and lounge with indoor/outdoor flow is coupled with large bedrooms (not little pokey ones that you often see in new builds). We honestly wouldn't change anything about our home and I think that's testament to a great plan that's suitable for any stage of our life."
